Malmö Company of the Year, Beijer Electronics, donates prize money to Pink Programming
March 27, 2024
In late February, Beijer Electronics was awarded the Malmö Company of the Year at Malmö Näringslivsgala (Malmö City Business Award), accompanied with a prize of 30,000 SEK. The entirety of the prize is now being donated to Pink Programming to support the mission of gender equality in tech.
– To help in empowering female programmers feels great as it aligns well with both our values and line of business, says Kristine Lindberg, CEO of Beijer Electronics.
The decision of the donation was influenced by this year’s UN theme for International Women’s Day to invest in women and accelerate progress. For us at Pink Programming, the donation enables us to keep bringing change to the tech industry, keep introducing coding to women and non-binary, facilitating networking, and create spaces for inspiration and learning.
